Att designa nästa kollektion - Canis Certo

Next collection in progress

Going from an idea in my head to a finished product is one of the most exciting and creative processes for me. It often starts with a feeling or an image that pops up when I see something unexpected—perhaps a shape, a color combination, or even a moment in nature that sticks.

When I then sat down with my sketchpad and thought about what the next collection would contain, I realized that I wanted to strive to capture a greater variety in expression and at the same time maintain the different price ranges we had. Something for those who appreciate a timeless classic style to those who dare to take turns with color and details. I wanted these garments to have a "wow feeling" without losing the stylish foundation that Canis Certo stands for. I also wanted to include improvements on details and functionality that we have received from customers during the short time we have been active. We can always get better together with our customers, that journey is constantly ongoing.
Our first collection also had a wide range, but for the upcoming collection some of the models will really feel Canis Certo and with a slightly different expression that we hope you will like.

Once the sketches were ready, they were sent to our tailors who produced the first samples. That wait can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. The time between sending off my visions and the day the samples finally come back is filled with anticipation. What if the color didn't turn out the way I wanted? What if the fit doesn't feel right? But that's also what makes the process so rewarding – every step is a chance to refine and improve. Once the samples arrive home, it's like opening a treasure box. Holding something that once only existed in my mind is a magical feeling.

But the work is far from finished – now it's about seeing if reality matches the vision. Maybe a seam needs to be moved, maybe the material needs to be adjusted, or everything is exactly as I hoped. It's a process filled with details, adjustments and, sometimes, surprises. But that very thing - going from a thought that feels so fleeting to something that I can hold in my hands - is what makes design work so incredibly rewarding. Seeing my ideas take shape, step by step, is a journey I never tire of.

The new collection is expected to arrive in early 2025, and we can't wait to show it to you!
