Sustainability
As a company, Canis Certo has an important responsibility to contribute to the global sustainability work of which we are all a part. For us, this is a natural priority in Canis Certo's operations and all decisions and processes must be evaluated based on this focus, which is also an important part of our core values. We have created, structured and communicated our focus areas through, among other things, a code of conduct, which we actively work with throughout the entire value chain, from ideas to products and customers. Of course, this is an ongoing process and we must continue to learn and through this we continue to evolve in the direction we have set.
Canis Certo does not have its own production department or factory, but has chosen to work with high-class suppliers in Asia. Our values are important to us and it is therefore of the utmost importance that the suppliers we choose share these values and work accordingly. In order to maintain a high standard of working conditions and to guarantee the quality of our production, we have a close and continuous dialogue with our suppliers. We work continuously to ensure that our supply chain has high integrity and monitor all operations to ensure compliance with our code of conduct.
Online shopping has a high percentage of returns. Therefore, Canis Certo has decided not to offer free returns to help customers find the right product/size right away. For the same reason, we have developed a carefully designed size guide. This is to help customers find the right size from the start and reduce the number of unnecessary exchanges and returns.
When we design and manufacture our products, we have always focused on quality to ensure that our products last a long time. In addition, we use a neutral, classic color palette for our costumes and collections that feel current over time. Our goal is to find alternatives that last longer, are of higher quality and are more sustainable. The environments where our garments are used are relatively tough and we want our products to withstand these stresses, season after season. That's why we use durable, functional and high-quality materials. Creating products for a sustainable wardrobe is our ambition and our job.
Canis Certo also works with so-called "dead stock". This means that we only use existing fabrics instead of producing new ones. In this way, we do not burden the earth, but make use of raw materials that are already available.
What can you do as a customer?
A large part of the environmental impact takes place in the home, for example during washing, drying and ironing. These activities require energy that is not always necessary. Here are some tips on how you can reduce your impact on the environment, for example by reducing the number of times you wash your clothes.
It may also happen that you get tired of your clothes or that they no longer fit. Do not throw them away, but sell them on to someone else. These days there are many different ways to exchange or sell your old clothes.
For us, sustainability is an important part of our daily work and taking responsibility and prioritizing sustainability issues is a natural part of protecting the planet and future generations. If you have any questions or concerns about how we work with sustainability issues, please contact us at info@caniscerto.com. We also welcome suggestions and feedback on how we can further develop and improve our work.
